Dr. Eldon Hopkins is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon offering services for hip and knee pain in Frisco and Texarkana, TX. He is highly experienced in total hip replacement, total knee replacement, hip revision surgery, knee revision surgery, and advanced cartilage preservation techniques designed to extend the life of your natural joints and restore mobility.
Dr. Hopkins earned his medical degree with highest honors from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Emory University Medical Center in Atlanta, where he was selected as Chief Orthopedic Resident. He then advanced his expertise through fellowship training at Scripps Clinic & Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla, California.
As a former Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Hopkins was part of a high-volume joint replacement program performing over 1,500 procedures annually. He has also held key leadership roles, including Chief of Joint Replacement at Ben Taub General Hospital and Director of The Methodist Hospital Charity Joint Replacement Program in Houston. Additionally, he has served as a consultant to leading joint replacement implant companies.
With more than 4,000 successful joint replacement surgeries performed, Dr. Hopkins is recognized for delivering exceptional outcomes using the latest minimally invasive techniques.
